has anyone ever changed the o ring on the bolt andif so how difficult is it / where did you get the ring?

 

can you get a silencer which actually silences as opposed to the redtip piece of crap?

 

is there an easy way to up the power to around 10/11 ftlb ?

Is the `red tip piece of crap ` your refering to in fact the open sights ? And the `O` ring should be easy to change , ive got a stripdown guide somewhere , and have seen 382 assorted `O` rings at Aldi for £5 , money well spent in my opinion . Many have been customised - often from USA Suppliers

 

Trouble with CO2 it was made for Walmer Climates

If Gas remains cold - it comes out as a Liquid instead of a Gas

Which reduces power level - badly

 

Not to be forgotten is - if made as a Pistol it Should never Exceed Sub 6FP

 

If made as a Rifle it Should never be Shortened down below 24 Inches

it is the rifle version s ocan go legally to 12ftlb if anything i would extend the barrel for more power is there a way to warm up the gas?

on my ratty i have got a adaptor with a half inch unf and i have a hw silencer onit and it sounds the same as it does when fired with no gas with out a silencer on if that makes sense i would get adaptor if i was you and get a hw silencer you wont be beat atb flinty

CO2 becomes a gas at -78 C so i shouldnt think this is the problem with the CO2 remaining a liquid especially in the this part of the world. and heating up pressurised gas dont sound like a good idea to me. Could the lachk of power be down to something else?? I know my ratbuster's power drops off really quick with near empty capsules, maybe same thing?

The only 'o' ring I've had to change on it, is the one on the fitting for the 88g CO2 cartridge, it wasn't difficult.

looks a nice gun but the O ring i'm on about is the one on the bolt as gas i escaping that way when fired, has anyone converted a normal ratty to take the king cylinders if so is it easy/expensive/worth it?

here is the gun in quesrion 5 mins of work and its stripped the pictures show the dissassembled gun then the bolt with said Oring and the crappy silencer

this isthe part that regulates the gas flow and punctures the gas canister does anyone know where i can get another one as the rubber seal on this is also worn and leaking.???

i had a king ratty (swapped it for an original mod50)

a mate of mine had the ordinary ratty and wanted to up the power, so he removed his hammer spring, i knew someone that agreed to make me some stronger springs up so he made me four for £25, i gave one to the mate, he installed it, imediately it was more powerful (couldn't take chrony readings as i shot my chrony within 24hours of buying it and unfortunately killed it )

 

after all that, i wasn't even sure whether the springs were the same in his with the small Co2 bulbs and mine with the 88gramme bulbs

i still have three of the springs if anyone's interested
