Ferreting Today

Visited one of the orchard's we look after today, had Richie and Jack helping me but the Rabbits were having none of it. Started off ferreting a overgrown hedgerow, we couldn't get the rabbits moving here as they were either sitting tight under the piles of logs and branch's or running up and down the hedgerow not wanting to break from cover. So we move on to the second hedgerow of the day which runs along the outside of the orchard with a country lane the other side, this proved more productive with the first 3 in the bag. We then turned our attention to the clear buries in amongst the apple tree's and then the bag started to grow getting 3's and 4's from these easy to net buries. Had plenty of digging and a few bolts through out the day and ended up with a respectable 20. Hard work but good company.

sorry I missed, what looked like a good day, but at least I got some ferreting clobber in the sales, some thermal vests and a new pair of boots :D

thanks to you all too for the surplus rabbits,

It was bitter first thing Steve but all the digging warmed us up
