Q- My ferret is moulting

A- the best thing you can do here is monitor the fur loss, take photos to put on the forum and let everyone have a look, if the hair loss is bileteral (its in the same places on both sides of the ferrets body) then it is a symptom of adrenal disease, and the best person to discuss the options for adrenal with is a good vet. if its just abald tail its simply called rats tail and can happen to any ferret and is nothing to worry about.

dont no whether it helps just when it said about it being in the same places both sides of the ferret

Thanks for all the help, i've decided to put them on a diet as from tommorrow. Spoke to Mr Tea Pot tonight and he said I'm feeding them too much. I put a 1/3 rd of a rabbit in at night in the morning there is no trace of it not even abit of bone.

Its probably something really silly like getting in & out of the bedding area through a pop hole & its where the furs rubbed away simmilar to a babys head when they loose the hair on the back from laying flat when there tiny

( before someone sayes it no i dont mean human babys live in boxes with pop holes)

I am charging you for that advice as well  .

No wonder you're ferret box was heavy, like carring a breeze block with them to in it :tongue2::clapper: .

Just stick to what i said and you should be fine.Just one thing just check their sleeping compartment they may not be eating all of it but storing it in the nest box, which is not much trouble now but in summer the meat will attract flies and you will get maggots
