Malt 379
It just goes to show what a load of crap the singles chart has become. Are the general public not smart enough to see what's going on? A load of rich music people using this to make themselves richer, it's only a bloody karaoke competition FFS! I'd love it if she didn't get the almost guaranteed Christmas No 1, I would love it! (Christ, I almost sounded like Kevin Keegan there! )

SportingShooter 0
I'd much rather be out than watching it personally. But then I don't watch an awful lot of TV, full of people getting over emotional about nothing. And footballers falling over with a slight tingle in their ankle, going off crying and acting as if something is wrong, Poor people, they can only be on 100's of 1000's a year. Bless 'em I think I'd like to see a return to people being "Discovered" like they used to. Look at the talent that produced Boring b*****d signing off. SS

I've got nothing against the contestants, best of luck to them. Yes it turns out to be true in some cases, but for every Leona, there's a Steve Brookstien. Instead of telling the contestants & the viewers that they are to be the next Madonna or Tom Jones, they should tell them straight, 'This is a talent contest. If you win it, you might go on to be a big thing, you might not.' I remember a few years back, when it was 'Popstars the rivals.' I heard a radio interview with One true voice, and those young lads had been convinced that no matter what happened, they would be famous, they were told that they'd be the next Take That and all that. They seemed like genuine young fellas, and what happened when Girls Aloud won the battle for the Christmas No 1? They were dropped like hot snot, never to be heard of again. After 10 pints, even I can sing, well i think i can, everything sounds better... Now, all you bunch of grumpy old gits, get a grip, it's christmas...
