toshaugh 2
I went for a lamp friday night with Soup(11 month old whippet), arrived at permission around 9'ish. Across 1st field, no bunnies, 2nd field, no bunnies, 3rd field NO BUNNIES, how the hell are you supposed to bring a pup on. I rambled on a bit and and found out why fields were empty, someone lamping ahead of me, i turned around and headed for van, only to find another lamper coming across ground i'd just done, forget about this place for a while. Into van, drove to 2nd permission only to find a car parked in gate, pulled up beside it and could see someone lamping this too, what now? 11 o clock and the dog thinks we're only out for a poxy drive. Enough was enough, drastic decisions needed, i headed for ground where i or nobody else has permission, i dond care, i'll run the risk, soup needs running. i was a bit nervous, looking over my shoulder, switching the light on for the minimum amount of time, watching for everything. Anyway, this place is great, sitting rabbits, 100 meters away from the fence line, 6 fields, 11 runs, 7 in the bag, well happy and the grumpy old farmer didnt get to give me a lecture (or a beating). Soup ran well, wasnt really picking up on the sitters, but this will come with time. Some pics below Quote Link to post
