well i wasnt out with dogs but im still frightened shitless when i talk about this coz i didnt believe in ghosts before hand

anyhoo it was last christmas and me and the family went to stay in a rented cottage for christmas up in yorkshire, my room was like a small room with basically just enough room to fit a single bed in it (couldnt swing a cat in it) anyway on the night after christmas, i woke up in the middle of th night and just as i was nodding off to sleep again polly (my patterdale in the pic) started her little quiet woof she does as if she could hear someone so i nudged her and told her to shut up which she usually would,WOOF so a wacked her abit harder and told her to shut up, then she started growling and i goes "for f*cks sake will you shut up" and punched her full pelt and she still continued growling, i turned over as polly never ever growls or even barks for that matter anyway she was stairing at the corner at person hight growling and barking and i hit her and hit her in a panic and she still never took her eyes off the corner.....anyway i legged it out of the room...and she still didnt move

you will probably think this is rather a story without an ending bit she is usually such a quiet dog and if i give her a clout she will shut up

Was out lamping not so long ago with "Goldenarms" and "The Duck" when we came up on some rabbits in the middle of a field about 25 yards out. The Duck was on the lamp and it was my shot, lifting the lamp and lighting up the quarry I took the shot and dropped the rabbit, I then proceded to climb the fence in order to retrieve my prize. Duck kept the lamp on it while I picked it up, on turning around there was nothing but complete darkness, both The Duck and Goldenarms thought it to be humerous to take refuge behind a hilly mound and switch the lamp off. I made my way to the fence line gun in one hand and rabbit in other and peered into the darkness, because both my shooting partners are like school kids they could'nt keep quiet to save their lives. After a short spell of total silence I could here them about 8>10 ft in front of me so I decided to "launch" the freshly killed rabbit in their direction.......you should of heard the screams!!! they were like a pair of tarts running about waving their arms in the air....it looked like they were trying lamp up passing Boeing 747s as the lamp was everywhere.....I nearly p*ssed myself. Frightened...yes, laughable...deffo.
