donk 12
IM 45 and ive never seen a ghost, ever, or anything that might or could of been a ghost or a spirit . Until. . . . . . . lol . . . . . . 5 weeks ago. I was across a place called 'isle of whithorn', ive never been back there since my dad took me over there fishing, must be about 30 years ago? So i went over by myself to try the fishing again. Woke up in the morning, got out of the tent and there was a double rainbow over the cliffs. Dives into the tent and gets the camera to take a few snaps, As im looking through the lens this old fella walks into the picture wearing what looks like a waxproofed jacket. Im standing looking through the lens thinking "come on,get out of the picture" but hes dithering about, and i think to myself, "that could be my old man". I'm so convinced that it is my old fella that i lower the camera to say something, but hes gone, theres no one there. My old man has been dead 12 years now, ive not said nowt to anyone cos i'm not a big believer in such stuff. Made me think though, and put a bit of a lump in my throat. Kay 3,709
I saw what i later found out was a crisis apperition , i met a lovely woman on the net when i joined a ferret forum about 7 yrs ago , we arranged to meet at a show in Derby & got on like a house on fire & became firm friends . she was a true friend & beautifull on the inside & out, salt of the earth type, we met a good few times at shows & rang each other daily I rang her on Dec 5th at 12 noon as she had been poorly , she was having a problem with her skin & it sounded like she has eczema , so i said as long as she took what the dr had given her it would hopefully clear up, the last thing i said to her was i would come up to her place before xmas , she said she would very much look forward to that , we said bye & i carried on with the rest of the afternoon . At 3.10 i set off with the old terrier to walk her & combine it with meeting my son from school , the back enterence to the lads primary school leads onto a field so he came out the back gate & always met me on the field & we would walk back home that way . As i got onto the field the sun was blinding , i always checked if there were any other dogs on the field before loosing mine as she was a pain with other dogs , as i looked over the field i saw a figure walking about halfway across the field dressed in a black jacket & trousers but what was odd was it was as if they were marching , swinging there arms like a soldier does when they march. The sun was so bright i had to put my hand over my eyes to see anything & the rays of the sun were all fanned out , that in its self was a beautifull sight , my dog was tugging on the lead desperate to get off & run & i dropped my eyes off the figure for a few seconds & the sun went in all the rays disapered & the figure was gone . I loosed my dog & she ran to the spot i saw the figure & sniffed the area, i walked down to the area , frantically looked all round the field , how the hell can someone get off the field so quickly , by this time it was nearing 3.30 & my lad was walking onto the edge of the field in the other direction , i asked him if he had seen anyone pass him in black coat & trousers before he went on to the field , he hadnt seen anyone. It made no sence , there was no logic to it , how could a fully grown person dissapear from the middle of a field , i was totally lost for an answer, what i saw was very much real , i had never seen anything like it before or since that day . I just couldnt get what i saw out of my mind, i told my mom , father in law who thought i had been on the sherry , my husband said i should be sectioned, but i couldnt rest untill i could explain what it was. Well later that night i went on line & read an email i had received saying that my friend had passed away , well i was numb totally devestated at this news , but it wasnt untill around 3am that it all made sence , it said in the email she was pronounced dead at 3.30pm that afternoon , so i looked into what i saw & came across what they call a '' crisis apperition'' I looked up several times & came to the conclusion she was saying bye , what i had seen didnt scare me in any way it just puzzled me
simba 1
Some ghosts tried putting the willies up me earlier. I told them to f**k off, I'm not that way inclined.
mattydski 560
Blimey Kay. I'm bit sober for that.... However, our house is meant to be haunted..never seen it though. The previous owner died in it. The next door neighbour has a ghost though. When they built an extention, the ghost could no longer find the front door, so knocked on the window where the door used to be..When they looked, no one there. Their 4 year old daughter also said to her mum one day, "who was that nice man sat on my bed last night"...she nearly has a fit..

There isnt a day go by when she dont creep into my thoughts , usually when i have done summat very silly & i know what she would say if i told her what i had done , i am not the sort of person to show my emotions openly but i did when she died , her death effected me more than any family member who i have lost before or since , the only way i got through the weeks after her death was by constantly talking about her , i could talk a glass eye to sleep anyway but this was bordering on obsessive , like i am beginning to get now if i dont stop myself Time to walk the dog i think
simba 1
Heres a true story were i work it is an old collage for nuns and priests (now a university) on many times on our nightly patrols we see the old piano in one of the halls with the lid up and on the next patrol its down we sometimes hear the sound of chanting from the same location... A couple of years ago just before xmas i was on patrol it was a foggy night night when i spotted what i thought was someone on horse back now this was 4am in the morning i stopped in my tracks and looked again the figure was a man dressed in what i can only discribe as civil war clothing i called on the radio for backup but my radio had "died" i looked on as the man just rode off but all i could really see was the top part of the horse with the rider on arrival back in our office i got ribbed and the piss taken "had i drunk or smoked something" untill one of the lads who had been sat there said "i saw the same thing last year" and discribed the same thing over the next weeks locals etc told us that the site was overtaken by cromwell durning the civil war !!! never seen it again...untill a couple of weeks ago when we got a new lad just covering he was full of himself and was telling us his grandmother was a medium and he could see ghosts on hearing this we though lets see and take him to the "horse " area without telling him anything on arrival he said "there is something passes through here on horse back !" we went cold carried on the patrol and never asked him back !!!!!!
