andy s410c 63
Looks good Moses Is the nestbox made out of a varnish/laquer coated wood??If so you'll get a lot of condensation off the ferts bodyheat & breath in the winter months which will lead to damp bedding & possible breathing/chest conditions.I had the same problem with my small cage last winter till i lined it with ply & put several small vent holes in the sleeping compartment. victor 10
well breathing holes its a tough one lol, drill holes in it mate. nice court sofar Quote Link to post
stubby 175
as much as a lover I am of using re-claimed wood whenever building stuff, I'd steer clear of using veneer covered chipboard, as this absorbs water and "blows" very quickly, and yes, drill holes in your sleeping box, ferrets can withstand cold, but heat kills Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Not good to use chipboard outdoors, it turns into Weetabix in no time at all. Quote Link to post
moses 5
i get what your saying and had the same thought myself but the roof sides and back will all be sealled so there should not be much water at all getting at it. Quote Link to post
