well after much deliberation and scrolling through the back logs of court pictures i have finnally started my court up untill now i have kept my ferrets in a double hutch, but have decioded to give up a bit of the garden to give more room.. will attach pictures tommorrow once stage one is complete

Good on you mate.It makes a big diffrence to them and you aswell.They are pretty funny wee animals i enjoy watching them :)

Looks good Moses ;) Is the nestbox made out of a varnish/laquer coated wood??If so you'll get a lot of condensation off the ferts bodyheat & breath in the winter months which will lead to damp bedding & possible breathing/chest conditions.I had the same problem with my small cage last winter till i lined it with ply & put several small vent holes in the sleeping compartment.

as much as a lover I am of using re-claimed wood whenever building stuff, I'd steer clear of using veneer covered chipboard, as this absorbs water and "blows" very quickly, and yes, drill holes in your sleeping box, ferrets can withstand cold, but heat kills
