I personally wouldnt run my pup so young, theres no rush with it, take your time and there will be many happy years to come Quote Link to post

Scallywag 78
If you're feeding him raw rabbit without freezing it first he's probably picking up worms from them. Worm him, but use a good quality wormer, not stuff from the pet shop - it's usually not very effective. If you want to put wait o him, feed him lamb and tripe - usually does the trick Quote Link to post

labsnlurchers 39
Theres a few problems with working a pup and one is that they need the energy from their food to grow and keep condition, if you work aswell there has to be a compromise somewhere with in the pup. Theres nothing wrong with gradually starting the pup to work now but maybe once a week for a couple of easy slips, if it catches on a slip then GO HOME ending on a good note and if it doesnt dont be tempted to go overboard, at this age you would be setting your puppy up to fail before it has even started. LDR 29
Has he just lost some weight, or is he continuously losing it??? Maybe he's had a growth spurt and filled his frame a little, mine went through differing weights until he was fully grown!!!!! But as above, check his diet, housing and worming!!!! Quote Link to post
