How many poles

Can any body help ?

I have 3 long nets 1x 25 yard 1x 30 yard and a 40 yard can anybody tell me how many poles i will need for each net

work on about 1 every 5 yards, but you can probably go a bit lower than that if you cant find enough

just read the post properly so, 25 yard- about 4-5 poles, 30 yard- about 6-7 poles, 40 yard-8-9 poles

depends on the land you work 1 for 5 yards is the arrage and is good on flat land but if your working rough land 1 to 3 yards is alot better imo

Id go for every 5 or 6yds, any less than that will work out expensive if using fibreglass

iv got 30 x 8mm ali poles all free of charge so it doesent matter how many i use within reason

Its not written in stone by every 5 yards is a good guide but if im on a slope uneven ground i go a bit closer to stop them running under the bottom line

I'd add that it also depends how many rabbits you are expecting to hit the nets. If you think you're in for a bumper bag, then go less distance between poles. Sod's law you'll space them at 6yds+ thinking you won't do any good, you'll bant the field, get back to your net and find it pulled down with trapped rabbits, but still have bunnies winging over the top at the last minute. Now that's annoying!

If in doubt, set too many poles rather than too few.

if he has it in a quickset then just one to put it out , otherwise all the chit chatter might spook em...
