Training book

I have an old copy of a book here called "Gundogs: Training and field trials" by P.R.A.Moxon

Just wondered if anyone had read this book and how relevant it is for now?

By the way, its for my lurcher.........so if anyone knows of any better books that would be more relevant to a lurchers character then please let me know.

I am not looking for any basic training books, just gundog and advanced type stuff

Nothing that involves any kind of force training please ;)

Cheers in advance

I've never read the Moxon book Wilf so can't comment.

I have read "Training Spaniels" and "Gundogs Their Learning Chain" both by Joe Irving and would recommend them for anyone with an interest in dog training be it gundogs, lurchers or whatever.
