I see a lot of topics about books around lately. What's your favourite fieldsports/hunting book? All sections included incase I'm leaving anything obvious out like fishing.

 

With Christmas not all that far away (don't kill me for mentioning it in October - just!), might give some ideas for presents :yes:

Stormy Nights and Frosty mornings by Paul Dooley

Country Mischief by Colin Didrekson

The Hunting Gene by Robin Page

Death in The Long Grass by Peter Hathaway Cpastick

With Gun, Rifle and Bow by James Douglas, John, I know you enjoy shooting and I've had this book for nearly 20 years and I still keep re-reading it-fabulous book

Danny champion of the world is my favourite film , not read the book , my favourite bit is where they get the pheasants to eat the raisons :laugh:

Just got "Stormy Nights And Frosty Mornings" arrive this morning.

 

"Foxing With Lamp And Rifle" by Robert Bucknell is a good read.

 

"Rabbit Control" by Jakie Drakeford.

 

"Clarisa And The Countryman"

 

"Why I Write" by George Orwell.

 

"The Real Sweeney" by Dick Kirby :thumbs:
