Guest rexdigger
went out earlier today for a walk round some permission of mine only had my small ratching rod with me so i took some sweetcorn with me just to see what i could catch,i arrived at the river bank looking for a suitable spot to start when the farmer drove past on his quad i did wave but he didnt seem to see me as i was down the bank never mind il catch up with him later on set my rod up cast the first line nothing took the bait so walked further up cast the line again and bang im into a fish let that one go as it wasnt worth taking and i know theres a bag limit on this stretch so iv got to do it right sat there for about another half hour in the same spot and pulled some cracking fish out not bad for an hour in total one things for certain i will be fishing that stretch again very soon Quote Link to post
mackem 29,842
Excellent result Rex Its a bit snooty of the farmer not to return your welcoming wave however And its good to see your observing the bag limit, thats the hallmark of a true fishing conservationist I have the urge to try sweetcorn on the brownies myself, thanks for the inspiration Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Nice bag there! When you going to go out again Mack & Joe! I've missed the threads, get out there lads! Quote Link to post
mackem 29,842
We are legit Malt,we now have ROD-LICENCES and are targetting carp Yeah, shameful I know, but theres a perverse sort of pride standing on a river-bank in broad daylight Besides,Rex is our northern counterpart, and that really is an excellent haul Quote Link to post
Malt 379
We'll be out again soon mate. Our killing wagon has sort of died, only 4th gear works. I drove it for about a month with just 1st and 4th but its f*****N hard to pull away at a round about with just 4th gear. Im getting a new machine this weekend so no doubt there will be a thread next week :clapper: Good to hear it, I hear that the waters of this great country are getting dangerously overstocked in your absence! We are legit Malt,we now have ROD-LICENCES and are targetting carp Yeah, shameful I know, but theres a perverse sort of pride standing on a river-bank in broad daylight Besides,Rex is our northern counterpart, and that really is an excellent haul CARP Mack?! Did I read that right? Let me read it again, C-A-R-P, I did read it right! What about the 'pike' that you've been catching in all those previous threads, who's going to relocate them? Rod licenses? I didn't know that official UK Fish re-location officers such as yourself & Joe required them! Quote Link to post
