The rain stopped !!!

After all this bloody rain of late it finally stopped long enough for me to get out for a mooch and the sun even came out lol. Went to the permission with the little orchard and little horse paddocks . Arrived at 7 pm and all was quiet the local rabbit population must of still been in there burrows.

 

With it being open and the rabbits sitting in the hedge line i decided to put a little hide cover up just to sit behind and see if any rabbits would pop out.Sat down behind the cover and waited and waited and eventually after about 30 minutes the 1st rabbit popped out. He was about 40+yards away and a breeze had picked up . Little bugger moved further away from me and me being an impatient git i took a crack at him and bloody missed my own fault knew it was a long shot.

 

Nothing really happening so decided to go for a wander and straight away seen 1 sitting munching about 50 yards away so made my way towards it only for it to clock me and bolt bugger . Was beginning to think is this one of those nights .

 

Never mind moved to the other side of the permission and sitting not far from me were 2 rabbits busy munching . Had very little cover so decided there and then to go for it both standing shots and clean head shots at around 25 yards . Well happy with the result as standing shots ain`t my favorite .

Cheer`s guy`s for the replys good to get out again. Davey its called common sense mate rain eqates to getting wet and i only get wet if i need to lol. FV .

I got to admit Davey, FV has a valid point - i don't like getting pissed on myself, as it goes! LMAO

 

But, if it starts to rain when i'm out in the field, i'll generally hanker down under cover until it stops - if it don't show sings of stopping, then i'm off home.

Nice couple of rabbits but why the hide ?? can you not just creep from tree to tree till you take the shot ?? or are the rabbits to wary

what are you girls like LOL, have you heard of a poncho army issue sit it out i sat for a hour n 20 minutes once and still bagged come on { TEAM EXTREME }
