Shooting is really assassination as the fox doesnt have a clue he is in any danger so imo shooting foxes is not really sport and is carried out by men who are in love with guns more than hunting.

Atleast the fox is either dead or gets away, where the rifle has a chance to wound,, you dont get that with a dog But yeh i use both but know my prefered option.

Hounds for a six mile point run him in bolt him have another hour on him run him in and dig him after 6 ft break through and then shoot him bit of everything
