i personally think that the dog in the first picture looks in good nick . you have to remember that the dog would have lost a bit of weight through running / travelling etc ! just out of interest heres a picture of a famous dog ...........what would you say of his condition ??????????????????????

do you not read anything at all........ive appologised for my in experice so why on earth do you all still insit on having a go at me!?!?!?

See above, the link put me to the 1st page. I had not realised we were onto another page

Having said that, you should try to word your replys a bit better. Aggression breeds aggression, and no-one likes a no-it-all, people wouldnt tell you a dog was in good condition if it was dying through lack of food ;)

Happy learning :good:

im not angry, not in the slightest mate...just seems to me that this is rather petty, to me that dog looked a bit on the slight side, i know absolutly nothing about saluki's and i always thought it was a bad thing to be able to see the ribs.....

thats what ive been told by a rottwieller breeder..obviously just for rotties then hey?! laugh out loud!

im not a no- it - all, infact far from it, i know alot about farming in generall and have only been introduced into hunting and was given a dog, thrown straight in at the deep end with a guy that apparently know bog all about dogs (if you've read my other post about the bullx) so im just expressing what ive been told... ill leave this site if im of any bother to you guys,

as i said im sorry for any offence, as none was intended!

I understand that Tony, but when someone tells you the dog is ok you still argued

Most fit dogs you should be able to see or at least feel the last 3 ribs....its not just Saluki x's

Dont take any notice of the fat kennel club dogs you see at crufts ect...those are not fit dogs believe me! The same goes for most pet dogs unfortunately :(

As i said, 1st look at the muscle tone, then the coat, eyes etc. A dog who is underfed will not have any muscle tone, dull coat and eyes :good:

WELL LADS ,

IAM GOING TO TELL YER SOMETHING ................. SO PIN BACK YER LUGS !!!!

THERES A LOT OF LADS / KIDS ON THIS SITE RECENTLY THAT , OBVIOUSLY HAVENT BEEN IN THE DOG GAME VERY LONG AT ALL OR HAVE VERY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF HUNTING AND COUNTRYLIFE IN GENERAL

NOW THEN ..........NOTHING WRONG IN THAT .............. EVERYONES GOT TO LEARN

BUT ..........

WHEN THESE SAME LADS FEEL THE NEED TO SPOUT S.H.I.T. .......... IT REALLY DOES NOTHING FOR THEMSELVES , THE SITE OR THE HUNTING MOVEMENT IN GENERAL

A TIP FOR EVERYONE ................... IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YER TALKING ABOUT , KEEP QUIET LISTEN AND LEARN

YEP ASK QUESTIONS ............... BUT DONT JUDGE :realmad:

LEAVE THAT TO THE LOWLIFE ANTIS WITH THEIR BIGOTED ATTITUDES

Thank Christ I've swithered about posting that but didn't want to offend anyone but its bordering on the ridiculous now with wet arsed youngsters telling guys who have been years in the game their dogs underweight, when caught out they admit (big of them) they were talking about rotweilers.

I've had dogs older than some of the people on here telling us where we're going wrong.

Off the soap box now.
