sam3009 4
hiya well last week i put my new jill which i was given by a mate in with one of my hobs because she was in season, so i left her for 2 days and then i took her out well 2 days ago i put her back in with the other hob of mine because it looks like she is not coming out of season. so the new hob didnt look interested at all... they slept together but it didnt look like he was grabbing on... so i just checked her vulva and it looks all red and inflamed. any advice please not just "go to the vets"... she will be going depending on what you lot say whether its normal or not.. please any advice will be greatful.. cheers jazz she is most likely sore 2 days with one hob and then with another ,2 days for her vulva to go down isnt long enough ,give her a rest she isnt a machine poor thing In my experience, if a jill doe'snt take on 1st or 2nd try, then she's not ready! A hobb will hump a rabbit if theres a seasoned jill in the vacinity. If I were you, I'd clean your jill every day with FRESH water for a week, make sure she's kept cool ( if its hot ), and take the jill to the hob after about a week and make sure theres no other ferrets around. how old is your jill ?
