MR TEA POT 1,287
Went up to my permish, saw the farmer who said"there is rabbits on his lawn, can i sort a few out". So went in to his garden, saw a couple of rabbits bolt for the hedge on my approach, so got my self set up in the armchair of the summer house with a table to put the rifle on,sat down and waited, ten mins later out pops a rabbit, down it went.Ended up with four rabbits,a bit of food for the ferrets, looked at the farmers window he was holding a cup of tea for me .It was one of the most relaxing sessions shooting i have ever had I wouldn't normally shoot rabbits that are small but because it was on the famrers lawn and i knew he would be watching i thought i had better bag it. Deker 3,491
Why do people keep apologising for shooting baby rabbits...Didn't you get the permission because the landowner wanted the rabbits controlling?? The females are breeding themselves 3 months after they are born..a rabbit is a rabbit is a rabbit is vermin.. and pregnant ones are great as you can stop up to 8 with 1 shot!! Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Nice one! I agree, it doesn't feel sporting taking out the nippers, but pest control's pest control at the end of the day. Quote Link to post
