why do

I've said it already but i'll say it again.

It all comes down to common sense! I never leave my dogs with my daughter unsupervised even though i'm 99% sure they'd never hurt her but I refuse to risk that 1% chance!!

In my opinion anyone who leaves any dog along with a young child is asking for trouble...

I agree that its down to the owners I have my own misgivings about this x which are well documented in here. However, theres to many people who latch on to this breed and see it as some kind of status symbol or some kind of penis extension. This reflects badly on the genuine lurcher men who use and train this breed and are more than happy with the results they get with it. I've heard guys bragg about using feral cats to train their bull x and some seem to accept that this is ok, I think things like that can only damage the reputation of this breed and give more amunition to the anti-lurcher brigade. It only takes one nutter to waste it for everyone. This isnt a downer on the bull x it has some qualities I like but just isnt the dog for me but fair play to folk who have them.

i dont see how people say that bull x's are dangerous in any kind of way or a time bomb, iv seen a deerhound hang off my mates bull x's face and the bull x jus let it and howled its tits off didnt even bother fighting back, that night when they were both out tho the deerhound took about a minute to kill a fox while the bull x killed 1 in easy 10 seconds both dogs caught them single too the bull x is a very very heavy dog hes a half x you could put him round any child any livestock and hes great (THE FOXES WERE CAUGHT IN 2004)

Slight exageration on the 10 secs methinks and prob the minute as well! but heyho! nevermind :whistling:

why do you think that undisputed? ive seen a bull x kill them as it hits them one after another, when they hit the ground its dead.not many do it but some can for sure so 10 secs aint out the way for a good dog

Well given it happend in 2004 (supposedly) I think perhaps his memory may be playing tricks with him just a wee bit....I just think its a silly thing to say unless your standing over the bloody thing with a stopwatch and timing it from the moment the dog pins it. I dont doubt that dogs are capable of a swift kill but in my experience these tend not to be the norm and depending on where the dog grabs and how many are involved tends to be a tad longer than 10secs. But before this turns into an arguement about who's dog is the quickest killer lets not forget what its really about.. the chase ! so enjoy it for what it is....nothing like it in my opinion!

Another Bull X thread how utterly riveting !!!

For Christ's sake why on this forum are there people so fascinated by bull crosses?

Are these threads started by kids ?

Half the people who are so interested in talking about them will never own one, would never test it properly or won't have the capability of handling it anyway.

Too many shit bull crosses are being bred to be SOLD on to chavs and dickheads who just want to strut around shows and show rings with their big collared "mean machine" lapping up the "nice dog mate" comments.

the only difference being, when a bull cross goes for some poor child or person, it does not stop at just a bite or 2, they crunch none stop!!!!! :icon_eek:

they can kill other dogs quicker in a kennel fight in most circumstances aswell.

personally, i dont like the cross, but thats just me, each to their own.

becuase its bull cross it will bite a kid dont be so stupid !!!! id trust my pair with any child

well said i have got bullx and have kept them going back a few yearsand my disabled daugther plays with them in the garden all my dogs are steady with livestock and i work them entirly with my terriers with no problems i think its more to do with who has got them any cross can be made to bite

Spider pig is right in defending the comment about 10 second kill, ive seen plenty myself which are dead on impact! meaning stone dead within a second or two. Those were the days :whistling:

So now we're down from 10 secs to a second or two any advance? anyone want to go for a death stare. these will no doubt be the dogs we see at shows with no mark on them but capable of killing old charlie by the hundreds ..by on impact do you mean the dog clattering it at speed or the actual take?. Its starting to get silly again.

Sorry for jumping in a bit off topic, but some people need telling.

Thats the whole point of bull crosses- to make an easy job of the things that other crosses fanny on with! Meaning a much more humane end for the vermin in question.

Listen no offence mate but its way beyond easy if it can do that. 8)

pre ban ive seen some bull crosses finish things off in 4 or 5 secs what ever you hunt it deserves as humane an end as possible

Sorry just cant see it! get a stop watch and see how quick 5 secs really is...or 10 secs for that matter.
