Guest Ditch_Shitter
See? No one genuinely Knows why they do it. Even the wolf place there was surmising - though an excellent description of the slide in technique there Socks; Rock Sulphar. That stuff's almost as much an enigma as shit rolling. Ask ten people what it's for and I get six different responses. I usually keep some around the place though, just in case I do hear a compelling reason to use it. Why do ye reckon it would stop them rolling in shit then? What's the connection there? If you've observed it to happen then it obviously does. I suspect the answer may thus lie in untangling both ends of the issue Isn't RS said to cool their skin in hot weather? That leads me to think of a mud wallow. But it's not so intensely warm here right now and mine are still at it. Weird.

dogs-n-natives 1,182
Has anyone else noticed that fox shit thing with fox dogs? Mine all 'like' a fox, but are worst with dead salmon, when the salmon die and lie on the banks rotting, they love it. Its almost enough to make you retch, you know, when the flesh is more like white slime!!
