i have been told they do give off a discharge, what i want to know is how much???

doesnt seem to be much today at all, alot less than yesterday....

any other advice than go to the vets....

jazz, it's obvious from your replies, that you have made your mind up, what do you want someone to say?, the actual amount of discharge is 100ml

you still would'ent know

you have two options, leave her in the hutch, carry on feeding her/mating with your hob, if she die's you can either take the blame, or blame others on here for giving you bad advise, after all, none of us are vets

or

take her to the vets,

at the end of the day, it all depends on how much YOU value your ferts

i will fone around and try but i think they will all tell me the same thing..

Most vets', even if not open all day at the weekends, have an emergency clinic for an hour or so. Failing that, they should have a number on their answer machine that gives details of where to take an animal in an emergency. Animals don't just get sick on a week day, so there should always be some provisions for weekends.

Mine are only open for an hour and a half for emergencies on weekends, but there's still an emergency vet hospital's details left on their answer machine for out of hours calls.

with the vet by me with the emergency line, you have to fone and then they will get back to you and tell you if there are more serious things...

i might be able to get in today, after having an argument with the vet on the fone lol...

i hope i get in today...

thanks everyone..

At least the ferret's getting looked at if cash is a problem what about one of the charity ones ??

if you have a cash problem you shouldnt have pets .they cost money lol

you should always take this into account when getting any animal and be prepared .

Well said.

And I have just noticed you first posted this on May 19th - 5 days to get treatment.

Also you are the one who criticised me for culling ferrets

-but to go and cull an animal which there is nothing wrongfor whatever reason if it breeding lines or whatever is wrong..

Well I can tell you this for nothing I wouldn't let any animal suffer that long without treatment. Perhaps I cull to stop idiots like you from having ferrets in the first place.
