yeah i would love to see Cabelas some day. the place i saw wasnt really about hunting for sport. the lady behind the counter (maybe it was just a line she fed everyone) said that the "artist" that created the displays found all of these animals after a natural death. one display for example was of a black bear sow and two or three cubs.... which is illegal as hell to kill a cub. supposedly he waited nearly ten years to complete that particular one.. just so he could have more than one cub.

the whole thing was set up as natural like terrain. had mountain goats perched on fake mountains, lynx hiding in trees, moose standing in "water".

i tried taking pictures but had a cheap ass camera and none of them turned out. i was sooooo upset about that too. didnt find that out till i got home and got them developed..

thats pretty damned wild! if they hadnt existed during "modern" times i would think someone had stuck those antlers on that cow's head for a joke....

I saw that aswell, there was a few other people doing it aswell. One of them did a stone curlew, not much compared to the irish elk that was recreated! That one was really good.

The English guy did the stone curlew, the irish elk was the show stopper though,he even went to an elk farm and selected the living animals to make his creation :icon_eek: and that STRANGE woman with the coyote who had a testicle/penis fascination :icon_eek:
