Guest BIG FRANK
i seem to put this up at this time every year , why the hell do these idiots run hares in the summmer , never see them in winter , always at this time of year, seen 2 lots round here in the last 4 days had to change the walk about with the dogs as ive seen numorus hears on the usual stomping ground. i will admit a few years back i let my pup run a summer hear and it was a doe never again if i could help it. you only ruin it for yourself in the long run wouldn't you agree Quote Link to post
ianm 2,594
They run hares in the summer because the dogs they own cannot catch a strong winter hare. Quote Link to post

Guest joe ox
because a fox is a pest and a hare is sport plus leverets are about and if you kill a doe your killing a few leverets too By killing vixens you are killing cubs its just the same. I dislike killing any animal with young inside or what is feeding young. The mild weather of the summer does tempt some people out of there armchairs to hunt but these people are not proper dogmen! ferretman22 1
why arent hare pest they eat farmers crops just like rabbits. and you class rabbits as pest that need controlling. and even worse than rabbits theyll go in to the middle of afield of crop and dig half adozen seats forthemselves. just because they arnt killing lambs and ruining afarmers stock. here in north yorkshire when you got as many hares as rabbits they are abig pest that need controlling all year round like foxses. pmarsh10 1
FOXES NEED TO BE CONTROLLED!!!!!!! THEY ARE A PEST! HARES DONT TAKE LAMBS AND CHICKENS E.T.C! I PROVIDE A SERVICE FOR FARMERS/LANDOWNERS AND GAMEKEEPERS! (WHEN IM NEEDED) FOX HUNTING SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CLASSED AS A SPORT BUT AS A FORM OF PEST CONTROL! OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE! (I DONT ENJOY KILLING FOX CUBS< BUT IF THE SITUATION SAYS THEY NEED TO BE CONTROLLED I WILL CONTROL THEM) well said mate i agree with you totaly Quote Link to post
samba 534
farmers class the hare as pest due to crop damage a shoot nr lockington east yorks shot over 500 hare in two days only weeks ago so neither the shooting man as respect for the hare just slaughter in my book and as for leverets they have been about since christmas its not just this time when there about its all year but as i and alot of others say this isnt the time now BUT YOU WILL NEVER STOP THEM BEING RUN EACH TO THERE OWN Quote Link to post
