I was considering importing one of these monsters to the uk my firearms enquiry officer says it should be fine as range have approved etc was toying between a Quakenbush outlaw http://www.quackenbushairguns.com/LA_Outlaw.htm

or a Gargoyle http://www.bgmfairguns.com/gargoyle.html with walnut thumb hole stock

What do you guys think and which one would you have given the choice?

wont get many shots per charge with it. plus i dont think you would get it for fox on ticket because shooting rabbits with it would just mash them up. not only that bud i no its only fac air but it would be alot harder for you to let the firarms office

from your area to grant you that as it is still a high cal slug and would be treated in the same way as a centrefire to get.

if that s the case just get a centrefire they dont run out of air  just make sure 1st if they did say you could have it. the cost to ship it over and transfer fac rifles is very dear to do to so would the cost be worth it ?

must admit its mad what a fac powered air rifle can do i have one here on dvd and he is shooting wild boar with it ! and killing them to clean ! they want you to have 27 cal centrefire minum here for that !

Yeah you get two shots per charge at about 600 ft plbs the other rifle gets 2 at approx 500 ft lbs with a weaker finisher, fire arms have already approved it im just waiting for the ticket to arrive (already had an fac before i applied)

Im looking into costs now, It is costly but with the weak dollar its affordable and besides i like my exotics and thats what this is all about sure their are bigger and more powerfull guns as well as cheaper guns but better guns?? thats very subjective... for me an exotic high power air gun that could be used at long range is what i want so centrefires and shotguns dont come into it since thats not what im looking for this isnt about saying "mines better because..." its about doing something abit different and enjoying my shooting.

As for power take another look the Quackenbush im after has been used to cleanly kill 2000lb buffalo/bison its in a whole other league to wild boar this is a serious peice of kit in regards power certainly not what everyone thinks of when they consider an air rifle.

yes ive seen it kill buffalo and bison but at a limited range. dont get me wrong its super that a air rifle can do those sort of things. and if that is what you want then get it :clapper: but 2 shots per charge ! is it worth it

mind you would be fun to shoot and i the noise of them is something else to ! ear defender time :laugh:8)

NEITHER

These things are simply an exercise in what can be done, if that's what you want then great, but I can't help thinking after a couple of shots you will tire of them and wonder whatever possessed you to buy one!!

yeah i seen it its nice but these are about 2-4 times more powerfull than even the career, The career is the most powerfull mass production big bore just under 200 ft lbs but if im going to the bother of importing i wanted the best ergo these hand made beauties
