i didnt think there was much in the way of hunting done in it... the lad who had is little girl shooting in it made the comment that when he was a lad if he managed to shoot 1 deer in 3 months then he was doin well... now you can shoot 3 deer in one day in these reserves where the animals are fenced in!! on the other hand i wasnt against it... if folk think they are being hunters by driving up to a deer whilst its standing lookin at them and shooting it then thats there problem... the meat was used for the local villages and some of the species that were shot would have been made extinct due to poaching, or so i gathered??? if all that was said was true then the rare species should be made safe again???

totally agree there old school. its not my way but when you can put a price on it and the whole community benefits then thats fine for me[and a conservation point of view], happens in this country dont it or do we class gameshooting /stalking etc different. so all you great white hunters on here try and learn from it.

good for the local econamy , and good for the wild life. as far as poachers go shooting rihno and the like, the problem lies elswhere .

 

with the horn being worth so much in the far east. who could blame some very poor local for shhooting one when its worth many months wages, and him and his family have feck all.

Wasnt really hunting in the Documentary in my opinion. Boar and kudu and were being fed from troughs and shot at from 20-30yrds away.

You are dead right mate,hunting it was NOT. The "hunters" only had to stroll 20 yards from the jeep, then sit on their flanges in a hide until a pig or antelope strolled over to the hay pile. The cross bow bolt was going right through at that short range!! Still, if it keeps the local economy going, and the rarer breeds are saved from extinction, who are we to knock it? I was a bit disappointed, that Louis didn't manage to just squeeze a shot off though.

Same as lads fishing for stock fish mostly standing in the same spot on the same lake . Not fishing to me.

FREAKS the lot of them,hunters my f*****g arse.Why not just rear them shoot them and deliver them frozen to these great white hunters If any of them moved into my street,i wouldnt let my kids play out,weirdo's the lot of them.Probably got bullied at school and go psuedo hunting and paintballing to massage there ego's.
