greggy 18 Posted March 13, 2008 Report Share Posted March 13, 2008 has anyone ever heard of a terrier called an irish bella or balla??i remember reading an old article in either an earth dog or countrymans an saw these dogs which were a red coulor and looked like small staff types with pricked ears, i googled them but nothing came up.any info????cheers. A man from ballynanty in Limerick bred them. Think they were fox terrier, staff,Patterdale mix(worker to worker)that he took over when he was working on buildings in 1980s. I actually knew him for years before I knew about them. Kept mostly black dogs or the odd lakeland when I knew him. He died back in August 1 Quote Link to post

I had him turn up round mine when I was selling my old MK1 terrier collars and knocking box. The dog he had was taken out in the field with another gent to prove itself....it didn't.
