Seriously thinking about getting a pure bred non kc bred pup, just for catching the odd rabbit and a bit of ferreting, i know that  a few members of here, work them regulary, any comments would be apprecated.

From what I’ve seen, they are obviously very fast so ideal for ferreting.. but they can suffer in the cold and wet… if you was ferreting the dales and moors regularly I’d say they would suffer a bit. But if you don’t, I think they would be ideal.

right, it sounded like you were looking for non kc, nothing wrong with show stock in them a lot of workers have some show blood, trev70 who used to post on here told me a mix of racing, show, coursing blood was best, and he certainly knows about working whippets.

They more than capable of working dales and moors but if I was on moors regular I’d prefer a bit more height but know a few that do dales regularly no problem
