People are, as a rule, thick as shit !

AI just gives those people something else to be thick as shit about.

Its the double edge sword of the internet, on the one hand exchanging good conversations with people you wouldn’t ordinarily get to meet from a wide variety of backgrounds and exposing yourself to different views and ways of thinking, learning rhings you didn’t know etc 

But on the other hand, absolute screamers bumping their gums half arsed about subjects they have not thought through and will have forgotten tomorrow as the next headline grabs their limited attention spans…..

And to be clear it seems not many on here know sweet FA about AI.

I can create a script that trawls the internet and gives me a list of companies, estimated annual revenue etc and then I call the cnuts. AI will literally dive in to everything and tell me the birthday of the boss's kids. That's how scary this can be. It will find everything about you and link it all together and who does it deliver all that data to? Whoever controls the AI.

It's beyond crazy. However, until the processing power is there it will never be self aware as an independent intelligence, only to be used and abused by us. The minute AI moves from silicone chips to carbon nano or other, we're fuucked.
