chartpolski 28,567
I’ve got a few ducks at the allotment, mainly Khaki Campbell; One day this call duck flew in and my old bitch Delta grabbed it and brought it to hand unharmed, so I clipped its wings and kept it; It turned out to be a great “clucker” and has hatched and raised loads of chicks, including hens, game fowl and ducks; Her wings have long since grown back, but she’s hanted now and flies off for a while but comes back at feeding time . Cheers.

I put some wood pigeon eggs under some free flying fantail I had. They 'hanted', or 'anted' for months and months. Just flew with the rest. Tbh, I can't remember what became of them. I also don't know what happened to the fantail eggs I put in the wood pigeons' nest. I bet they were a surprise. Edited 10 hours ago by jukel123

WataWalloper 3,987
Hanted means same thing in Glasgow with pouters once they are hanted to your loft they don’t usually leave, an if you wanna move lofts the easiest way to rehant them is to take a nest off them in new loft an let em out whislt sitting of topic but it’s not summat I usually hear in England Edited 10 hours ago by WataWalloper
