Cost of neutering.

My vet charged the Mrs £473. 50 for a whippet bitch this morning.

With pups fetching a grand a piece I would have had a couple of litters but the general feeling is that breeding is bad and irresponsible.

For me it would have been good fun and paid for a few holidays. They could only have been sold as pets as the bitch is a pet only. 

So why this breeding is a sin belief? I genuinely don't get it.

Breeding shit lurchers from unproven parents is wrong as is breeding from stock with genetic defects.  But breeding pups which will have the life of Riley seems a win _win to me.

Anyway, like most men, I went along with she who must be obeyed.

nothing wrong with it mate id sooner bred the pups like you say and had a holiday that spaying knackers them up for working theyre never as good after it

Local council dog warden would micro chip and neuter our dogs for free, but, like everything else, council cuts put an end to that. 
Don’t the PDSA have a scheme ? Don’t know how much it costs.

Now you tell me. I'm phoning the vet right now to fish her bits out of the bin and rei_nstate them.

Seriously I think you have to be in receipt of tax credits or similar to have your pet treated at the PDSA these days. I always donate a few quid to them if I'm flushed.

My local PDSA have some things you can pay for , such as worming and fleaing .

I paid around £28 to have two dogs vet checked and wormed and flead. 
They weigh the dogs and give you the correct dosage and you administer it yourself.

You don’t have to qualify for free treatment. I just remember seeing a poster on the wall about neutering while I was waiting.

We had one of our dogs done two phantom pregnancies and we was advised too plus a foul stinky discharge at the time pdsa done it not free they go on size and weight of the dog it was over £100 10 years ago

I've often thought of owning half a dozen black labs, so I could cheat the pet insurance companies by only taking a policy out for one of them. Lol.

It's good the hard up can get free care for their pets. For some, their pet is the only thing which keeps them going, especially the elderly.

Shame the poor,  young and old cant get free NHS dentistry. There I go again.

You wouldn't have to worry about that if you sign up to my euthanasia plan, you can pass away with all your teeth intact and not a nappy in sight.

I like they way your mind works. Mate it's been going on for years that using somebody else's paper work. Lol. f**k me I can remember my old man using a family members paper work over 30 year ago. You can't do it anymore. Leeds one asks for photo ID. Driving licence, or passport. Clued up to that shit now. I'm at vets for pets and use Abbey house in Morley out of hours.
