Ohh f***ing he'll. Alot must live in a kennel aye lol I've concrete floors in my house no insulation wood on top ?

I have to tell next door there extension out backs a dog kennel.because there had to have a flat roof couldn't get the pitch fo4 a tile.?

In reality a basic box insulated with rock wool would a been more then  sufficient people live in caravan on the coast all year in one 50 mm rock wool fi4 insulation

Mate I live in a house that dates back to 1054, with add ons through the tudor and Georgian eras...insulation no, double glazing no....but... If I was building a new house I'd insulate the floors, walls and roof..I'd choose a pitched roof as I think they look better for starters, plus give you a vaulted ceiling so increasing head room.... but as with everything else you've probably built more than anyone else on here, there aint much you don't know about eh

So after a bit of a delay for one reason and another, back into the tiny home. Decided to take it off the mobile base and put it on a permanent base (mainly after that f***ing monster storm early

Take no notice Jack.....he's housing 20 boat people for the Irish government....lol

Sometimes,if you don't know shit from toothpaste it's best to sit and listen, learn something new even... rather than to talk utter shite,on a subject you clearly have no experience of👍

Like everything I know enough  to know the ground is an insulater it's plastic under concrete or above will sort damp the money would a  been better spent on underfloor heating

Pitched roof better but flat Is cheap just as good and less issues with height limits

But again these are my opinions

Something took a weekend to bang up board plaster be months

Why would you put underfloor heating without insulating the floor? Not wanting to sound a c**t but either your talking through your rear end or you were dropped on your head as a youngster

If Wilf wanted a quick pile of shit sat on his land he would've got a cheap static and lived with the damp, drafts, cold in Winter boiling hot in the summer etc.... he wants to build a decent, robust, smart home for his daughter... McHull would have her living in a garden shed, maybe chuck her an extra blanket come December lol

There not very thick tomo, minimal insulation, gran in sumer, but you'd need the we log burner going most of the time in winter

Don't get me wrong I'd live in one of grid no bother,if I could get away with it lol

I didn't realise stattics were that bad ...

It's like anything mate you get what you pay for, they are fairly cheaply made (im talking bog standtadx type), minimal insulation, cheap finishings, mostly plastic etc.. from Wilfs posts he's looking to do a decent robust job, he's got a few acres and I'd say if he's putting something on it A) it needs to look right and B ) be somewhere he's happy for his daughter to live... I don't think he's going for the Gypsy Camp Chic lol

If you don’t know why would you say anything? Next job you do 100% make sure to put the 100mm kingspan over the underfloor heating can’t go wrong
