I'd say so my hounds don't like eating much in the heat

Its same with ferrets feeding raw in this weather. Best to feed them late on then if owts left first light take the f****r out.

The pups a crack dont get me wrong. In your 20s 30s your bang on. But when you get in your mid 40s 50s. Thats two years waiting nearly for a pup to come mature. If you've got the money and it doesn't break the bank. That couple of grand is worth it for a young dog already to spin. Come on you cant say it isnt.

I can't understand how folk can take the credit for another man/woman's work . Raising a pup , bonding and nurturing it to hopefully give you 7 great winters . Surely that better than just buying ready made ?

I hope ferreting is not beneath these coursing breds, mC says he wouldn't lower himself to such a carry on.

Will ye use it for a bit ferreting, even if it’s just tk get runs of the dog? I love bolting bunnies to a young lurcher

Raising them is by far the best part, way more exciting than having a dog on slip you know is bang on, yeah ye kill stuff but the not knowing am watching a pup grow an learn an put it all together is by far the best part of dogs, for me anyways

That pup a bought off trev was knocking bunnies about at no age. Think she was only about 7 , 8 months old. She wasn't shy at using her mouth as an adult. She wasnt one of them dogs that just drives them on. Once she got onto them she was all over them spinning them all over. Was like watching a whippet on bunnies. She'd box them lovely bitch to watch. That sankey bred dog I had was another great dog. Loved watching him hit cover. Best run I had with him was some hard cover with thick sloe. Was in and out from oneside to other up and down line of the land smashing it. Am thinking this hares done him. Run to other side. That feeling would be great if you could bottle it. Hes guna have some fun with that pup. If mc shows him the land. I know loads of land lifting with the c**ts. Land where lads have come for a day out. And said the hares are better than some fen hares. A thought no wonder ya walk all day for one or two runs. You come here have 4 5 runs similar land.

Yeah of course mate, I don't have the luxury of the Dales anymore but I'll see what's about. My uncle still ferrets with the nets so sorted there.
