Surely it should be a lure race and then the same dogs on the first turn to a hare?

You said surely 200 yards is too short.

Now you’re saying it should be lure coursing. Why ?

Non-Ped whippets run over 150-200 yards.they don’t run over long distance and they don’t lure course. mC says his dog is faster than a non-ped.

I didn’t challenge him; every time I mention non-peds he jumps straight in telling us his dog is faster, so it’s simple, come and race one !
Or we could give his dog a timed trial , every race is timed by a handicapper.
Either way, I’m happy , I’ll even try to get a dog the same age as his to race him.

Ive never said a non-ped is better on a hare, in fact I’ve said the opposite many times.

Cheers.

I said, if he plays by your rules then surely you should run him on a hare, the first to the turn the winner.

I’ll have a look at the race calendar and see what’s on in about 8 weeks time.

It will probably be at Horden in Durham or Westerhope or Wallsend in Newcastle.

The three I mentioned are six year old, so about the same as your dog.

Also, Max has just told me he will match you with his lurcher bitch ; a race on the track over 150; 175 or 200yards and match you on a hare .

This is nothing to do with you racing a non- ped, that’s separate.

Cheers.

It’s not my rules .There’s not a non- ped owner I know who runs hares, they are racers , mc is throwing out the challenge, he says his dog is faster than a non/ped, why on earth would they want to run a hare ?

Cheers.
