My opinion is of equal value to yours. There’s plenty here that can vouch for me , the idea that I’m trying to tell a lad to watch what he’s doing in the present climate and getting a shoeing for it off the likes of you just maybe shows me how much I’m glad I’m no longer part of this world.

I was at an Open Whippet event today. 
I went to see the dog that Max has just lined his bitch with. 
Anyhow, the dog and its two litter sisters were in the final of the Veterans Scratch Race . One of the bitches was the winner with the dog second . The bitch did 8.04 seconds over 150 yards. There was about 1 1/2 yards between the three of them.

The record is 7.96 seconds, held by the dog. So that bitch at six years old was just 0.08 of a second outside the record.

Any of these three would make any coursing bred look like it was running backwards.

Now, don’t start about “slop in January”, these dogs are bred for ultimate speed over 150-200 yards, and nothing will beat them .
