That's what he'll be on, he scoffed the beef & tripe mix the first day I brought him back. They are 1lb tubes and he would have wolfed it down in one sitting, he was trying to pull it out my hand when putting it in the dish, gave him an egg yesterday and he lapped it up, he wasn't keen on tuna mind.

They aren't daft, if they are off the slip and you spot something they haven't seen and try and quietly call them so you can grab em by the collar and point them in the direction their ears automatically perk up and they start scouting the land cos they know you've spotted something lol.

Get it some salmon heads ,kilo bags of sprats and a couple of litres of salmon oil...pup will be glowing pal,I give my pups a bowl of milky Weetabix in the morning,small meal of meat ,fish,tripe at dinnertime,after the last meal at teatime,I give them a meaty bone to chew on,keep them quiet until the morning ...my last lurcher bitch was the runt...ended up the second biggest dog/bitch in the litter

You've lost me mate lol. Your the eyes for the dog finding them runs. You can't just have a pup off the lead hunting up. If you was out with me and the dog just started doing its own thing after a run it had missed. And quartering the land scenting up to get on sumat else. Id just f**k off can't be having that mate.

Good luck. Young dogs that are green dont work like that. Keep that f***ing dog on that slip mate. Don't listen to lads that will ruin that dog. Walk the land , dog on the slip until there's something infront of it. If your walking seeded land that's just coming through and hare are sat tight. You'll see the ears up listening out. If the hares are up on the seats you'll see them slowly drop back down. Some will just get up straight away and hit the back feet. If in distance dont slip that pup you'll blow the c**t. A can't believe mc said he lets his dogs hunt up.

Come on Bangers, you've never walked your dog off the slip? I'm telling ya you'll have missed out on some runs in your time. Now with a thermal you're laughing, nothing will be able to escape your eyes, but back in the day you'd be surprised what a dog will knock up what you've missed.
