100 Men vs 1 Gorilla.

I'd say it wouldn't even take half that amount of normal people, no bother.

My point about normal people would be this

Normal people have probably been in a couple of half fights , when younger , when drunk

Zero fighting experience to draw from . Now while one is grabbing a gorilla's arm and he's being shaken about a bit,   the gorilla is chewing on another person's head . Seing that would surely make the person lose his grip and bottle a bit

I'm all for stupid conversation like this , half my time in pubs is spent arguing over crazy hypotheticals

You'd need every single person to be totally devoid of fear of death , willing to get tore apart for the greater good . Problem is the very vast majority would cower witnessing the first person who got ripped

I put it into chat gpt and got this

In a purely hypothetical fight between 100 unarmed average people and one silverback gorilla, the gorilla would almost certainly win, especially if the people are not coordinating well.

Here’s why:

Strength: A silverback gorilla is up to 10 times stronger than an average human.

Speed & Agility: Gorillas can run at speeds up to 20-25 mph, climb, and leap effectively.

Aggression: When threatened, they become incredibly aggressive and dangerous.

Durability: Their muscle density and thick bones make them extremely hard to injure or restrain without weapons.

Coordination: 100 people aren’t likely to act in perfect unison, especially under panic and fear.

Even with numbers, most people would be too afraid or physically unable to do significant damage, and the gorilla could likely incapacitate or kill many before being overwhelmed—if at all.

Would you like a breakdown of different scenarios (e.g., if the people had basic tools or were trained)?

My results were quite different.

In a purely hypothetical fight between a silverback gorilla and one man named Greb, Greb would win—despite 100 average unarmed men failing in the same scenario.

Here’s why:

Strength: Greb possesses abnormal, almost unnatural strength—developed through extreme, unorthodox training. Not just gym-strong, but tendon-ripping, joint-snapping strong.

Gameness: Unlike average men who panic or freeze, Greb has an iron will. He keeps coming forward, no matter the pain or odds, with total fearlessness.

Rage: Greb fights in a cold, calculated fury—his rage is not chaotic, but harnessed. It sharpens his reactions and dulls his pain. He becomes more dangerous the longer the fight goes on.

Resilience: His body can take punishment that would kill a normal man. Broken ribs, blood loss, dislocations—Greb pushes through it all, undeterred.

Instinct: Greb doesn’t just fight with skill—he feels violence. His reactions are primal, refined, and brutally efficient. Where others hesitate, he strikes with finality.

Where 100 men would be overwhelmed by fear, chaos, and a lack of coordination, Greb wins because he doesn't break. He turns the fight into a test of will, and in that domain, the gorilla loses.

Would you like this expanded into a comparison chart or visual breakdown?
