However, a few miles upriver and you are in Melrose. Beautiful and possibly the loveliest town in the Borders. My salmon days were not exactly legal. Jimmy Clinkscale, RIP, taught me a number of things including the use of a tennis net and a white tray in the water with me somewhere near with a light and a cleek. Happy days. Was looking at a rod in August....£250 a day £250 is ok,I guested for brown trout on the test which had a ridiculous daily beat price but the fishing was fantastic,sometimes you have to pay to play,tight lines. 1 Quote Link to post
