And a smidgeon of good luck always helps,I was mooching about a few weeks back and spotted a bedded whitetail doe no more than 20 yards away, she took off like a rocket after I grabbed a pic.20251108_115229.jpg.d58d622d395928b2fe6eb1ffa96efc2a.jpg20251108_115855.jpg.206d30584876fa7f9ef31d2cf9b76b91.jpg

I think our native roe are like nervous wrecks, they get used to dog walkers ect. But getting sub 10 yards in a spot and stalk be hard work I would imagine. Mite just be me , but going off all the videos . The whitetails look easier as a species perhaps.

Just took dog for a walk down woods on my permo and add a little half hour practice. Shooting at 22 paces , so was happy with that

Got my bow back from the shop,Cam timing is perfect, pins are on for 10,20,30 yards (I won’t use the last pin as 40 is pushing it)just waxing the string fibres and watching telly.

I think it’s mad mate that you could quite easily take out a rabbit or pheasant at 15 to 20 yards and maybe closer a red hind or stag or wild boar with a stick and string ! I’ve ad lurchers for over 3

Roe seem way more spooked than whitetail here, get a trail cam linked to your phone and start baiting for that elusive photo, pattern them.

Got the baits and did have a bash with a cam and picked up a fox and roe on the cams. But that's as lucky as I got mate.
