Just took dog for a walk down woods on my permo and add a little half hour practice. Shooting at 22 paces , so was happy with that

Got my bow back from the shop,Cam timing is perfect,pins are on for 10,20,30 yards (I won’t use the last pin as 40 is pushing it)just waxing the string fibres and watching telly.

@Leo Sayer thought you might like this traditional hunt V super modern (cams,thermal drones),the trad hunt is better filmed and actually looks really interesting.

Will watch later ta, but I think the biggest skill is getting the 7 yard shot with field craft tbh

That trad guy has probably the best trad channel I hav seen,always well filmed,the other video is quite good but thermal drones is a bit OTT,but everything is bigger and better in the home of the brave the land of the free.

Just literally watched the trad one, awesome buck. Will sub his channel. I still say the hard work is getting that 10 yard shot mate

That could just as easily been a compound shot though,he is up a tree,even on the ground I watched one the other day have a compound with him and a doe was three yards from him,spot and stalk is skill whatever bow,but up a tree it’s the stars aligning and good luck I think?

Last night watched an old Clay Hayes one. Elk and bears tags and 6 days in the mountains camping under tarps. Clay and his son and another geezer.  Snow on the ground and some not so nice weather to tarp camp in. They spent 6 days and never even got one shot off. I reckon it's a tough game.

In truth mate it’s the country,it’s huge and rugged and remote,and the weather has ridiculous extremes,and to get results those blokes take it to the next level,there was a bow hunter died last week or maybe the week before?I watched the news report,he had fallen down a ridge and died of exposure.

Poor fella. I watched the 2nd vid also good hunts and fair play to the lads. Was a bit too much yeeee haaaa and gadgets for me , but still awesome. And I agree mate with what ever bow , spot and stalk must be very very very hard work. And even more in some of the conditions and places they hunt .

And a smidgeon of good luck always helps,I was mooching about a few weeks back and spotted a bedded whitetail doe no more than 20 yards away,she took off like a rocket after I grabbed a pic.
