A quickie.

Well that was a night of two halves!
Never started this late in the season, but for one reason and another that's what happened.
Cap, I knew she wasn't work fit but didn't expect her to be this bad, never known her this bad. Only one from about five runs, so brought her straight home. 
Gus on the other hand.... I  decided this year to try to keep him lamping even with his HD. He's fit, and the fitter I can keep him the better he will be, but I know there are limits so I decided I'll still take him out, but limit him to 3 runs only each time. I will of course assess him each time and if I feel it's causing him any pain, I will re-review. Three out of three runs ....and in the hardest to catch (but easiest for him to run) fields! Walking back to the gate spotted a squatter, well I had to didn't I So four out of four slips and he seems completely sound.

White one is a kc whippet. Red one is mainly whippet/Irish terrier.

He has a teeny bit of collie in him, apparently it's common for them.

Didn't know collies suffer with hip dysplasia?!

Thought it was mainly large/giant breeds.

There's plenty wrong with her, missing toe, knocked up toes, broken sesamoid etc etc. But she always battles on. She's not long had a season, and she hasn't been exercised as much as she should. I'll take her out now most nights, just a few runs to get her fitness up, if she still isn't right then, I'll def get her to the bone man

She's not showing any sign of lameness etc today, I think it's just being out of condition. 

As for Gus, he's in a permanent state of excited happiness

Another quickie.

Two out of three for Cap, ran much better than last night but puffed after the third.

Gus got one from three slips (four runs) he still has a great deal to learn.

Slowly, slowly. Still not bad considering I was casting a shadow and she glowed like a Persil advert

I can already see her condition looking better, but still shoddy. Her heat has really knocked her this time.
