cúagusgiorraí 57
I see a pack of feral dogs regularly in my town I live in. It consists of two saluki type lurchers and about three medium sized terrier crosses. They are very wild and move swiftly through the town in the quiet of the night. I think I know where they are living as well. Does anyone else see feral dogs? I am not talking about stray family dogs, but dogs that have gone wild and are surviving in a wild state. dytkos 17,917
Saw one that had been shot by a farmer in Turkey back in '99. It had been taking pheasants reared for local shoot and had been living in a local wood for almost a year before it was shot. And didn't look to be much more than a year old. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Wouldn't be seeing them up here in Leitrim, C. Quite simply because any Dog running the countryside and not, at least, being known as a locals Dog ..... Well; It just wouldn't be around long enough to become feral. Anyway, may I ask; Why the big interest?
cúagusgiorraí 57
Anyway, may I ask; Why the big interest? I am generally interested in canines. Also I was wondering if feral dogs were common in large towns.

Guest Ditch_Shitter
I was wondering if feral dogs were common in large towns. Blimey, no, mate. Not in england, for sure. It's been thirty five years now since I saw " Street Dogs " in my own home town. When and where I was born and raised we had Dogs all over the place. And yes, they'd bunch up into packs and mouch about the place having harmless fun. Never particularly bothered anyone and came to no harm themselves. Just peoples pets, let out and allowed to socialise and do what Dogs like to do. People understood and respected Dogs back then. They were seen as integral parts of the family unit, and treated as such. People looked out for each other even that recently. And we'd look out for each others kids too. And so would our Dogs. Kiddie cried out, in those days? Chances were a Dog would first to attend. Dog would get a bone too. Not dragged from the bosum of his family and killed by " Animal Welfare " merchants in Police uniforms. Then it all, quite suddenly, changed. And it just kept on changing. Always for the worse ~ for the Dogs. That's why I got out. For my Dogs.
