Mate had one, one time. (Far from ideal conditions, sadly. God knows where he got it. He was living in a bed sit and it was in a box on the floor, or something. Died soon enough :() Used to scuttle across the floor though! Hilarious!

The times I've looked at that aviary, out there .....

 

I had a little owl as a kid and so did the Oldman, we had tawny and an African spotted,along with various hawks and falcons?

My old mate Keith could bring them in by rubbing two blades of grass together.

I know lads that have had success in Durham area using old hanging baskets for Long Eared Owls to nest in - similar to the one below and also a couple lads I’m aware of have huge success with their barrel boxes for barn owls.
