Went for a walk with the wife and son yesterday. Had to take a photo of this kingfisher bobbing up an down on the Calder bank. Was lovely to see but horrible at the same time due to the litter washed up the banks. Just at the side of the kingfisher was an hole where I think he's on with digging out for a nest site.

The Calder is a couple of minute walk from me, some good stretches and otters have made home  on our door step, I often see king fishers and much other wild life but your reyt there is parts that are a mess
