Yes i can remember shooting a 100 every two weeks at my work to feed the ferrets during the summer suddenly they where none If man had released mxyi or RHD on anything else there would of been a up roar

Went out about half five this evening and got back at about eight thirty, I shot another seven only five in the pics as the two others were young uns and were a bit of a mess, second pic he was caught in the act with wheat in his mouth a nice free hand shot over the top of a hedgerow, I had a fox watching me waiting for a take away and a huge buzzard type bird swooping about watching what was going on, I also see what I thought looked like a ferret very red orange colour I would imagine it was a stoat there was a lot going on this evening, another week and I will pack up until after the harvest.

Sheep farmer rang me earlier saying there’s quite a few rabbits about so would I go up, I thought “ farmers millions “ and I wasn’t wrong, took the HMR and shot everything I seen, which was 5, went back to the van, got the caller and the .243, had a fox at 179 yards and the bugger did the death run straight into the rape and I couldn’t find it, I hate it when that happens

Nice one Stav five ain’t bad I had another four Friday evening, a 179 yard is a good effort the thing with shots like that you know you hit it because of the thud but when you look for it its annoying when you can’t find it because I don’t know about you but I doubt myself, nice to get out though and yeh farmers there’s millions lol

This time of year it’s just nice to out walking the grass fields picking a few off to keep the farmer happy 

I knew the shot was good, I was using soft point bullets I would of said if I’d had ballistic tips in it wouldn’t of ran

Well I thought I’d go out one last time this evening until after the harvest, I had a hour and half yesterday morning and had four, but this evening in three hours five till eight I had a grand total of 16 all accounted for apart from one a cracking shot but it shot into the undergrowth couldn’t find it anywhere, I had five in the first hour and the rest just followed, I also had an unusual situation that has never happened before two rabbits side by side one behind the other I took the shot to the one in front and they both went down one bullet two rabbits.

Any way that should be it for a little while have a good summer I’m off for a beer .
