Nicepix 5,650
There are elections in France next year and our old friend Michel Barnier has put himself forward as a right wing candidate opposing Macron. Nothing surprising there, except that he is running on an anti-immigration policy whereby France would not take any immigrants for 5 years. Apart from the breathtaking hypocrisy after repeatedly claiming that Brexit wss fueled by anti-immigration rhetoric, he would put France in direct breaches of his former paymaster's policies. How France could do that when they refused Camamoron is beyond belief! Barnier is also calling for greater sovereign powers for France and less EU control. You couldn't make it up. The only thing I can think of is that he is trying to hoodwink some of Le Pen's supporters and undermine her position. 2

gnasher16 31,506
I know nothing about French politics but for me the first and last sentence typify the problems right wing politics and/or nationalism is up against today....it just cant get its shit together where everyone is going in the same direction too many supposed nationalists these days do not hold nationalist views.
