Ken's Deputy 4,463
Okay. I got creative, today. Used my hedge trimmer to cut some rough old grass on a sheet of ground. Very good result! I'll keep on top of it now But, that got me looking at my compound. Jesus! Bit more that a sheet there! And it's got some real shit amongst it. Thick old weeds. Grass is getting out of hand too. Nasty. Thing is; I just physically can't crawl over such an area, swiping with the hedge trimmer. It'd take days and kill me. I do strim it, once or twice a year. But, I'm not skilled enough to get much of a finish. And it can all bloody grow again, so fast?! Got to thinking; What about 'Lawn Mowers', these days? I was thinking maybe a " Flymo "? Dunno how they function? Then, I remember an old adverts slogan; " A lot less bother than a hover! " What was? And what bother does a hover / Flymo bring? Dunno. Just throwing it out there, like I do Electric suits me. Light and simple. Doesn't need a grass box or roller. It's a small, derelict car park. Not a Solicitors front lawn. Jonjon79 13,358
Get a couple of goats - them little pygmy ones can be quite funny. Then, when the grass is at a manageable level, you can knock one over the head for one of your curries

Ken's Deputy 4,463
Flymo Chevron 32V has my eye! Seems it'll fit my purposes. English made, as far as I can see? Amazon's run out of them, else I'd probably have bought it by now. Oh well. The gods pull this shit for a reason. £75.00 on zon. Nearer the ton, locally. Grass is hardly my biggest fukking life issue, right now. £25.00 to get at it next week? I don't think so. Fukking heat's destroying much of it anyway. Fine by me. I'll take this as an opportunity to let shit marinade. Something will come out in the wash Thanks.
BenBhoy 4,706
Goats don't eat grass. Everything else, but not fussed on grass.
Ken's Deputy 4,463
Been my experience with the vile things, Ben. If I ever opened an Ivy dump? I'd man it with goats. Fukking things are absolutely Crazy for ivy! Oh, and your hedges. And your neighbours hedges. And their flowers. And their vegetable plots. And their nerves. And your nerves. Fukking Things!!!
