I’ve always held the train of thought that if you are truly friends with a person , you can call them out for being a prat. Personally I’d never side against a mate whatever , especially in public but

My story with swimming/water is so embarrassing i only tell folk i dont really know that well ? Growing up i dont ever remember really even seeing the sea until late teens but once i did i was me

I'll have you know we had some very well known chaps come out of our school.......fair enough most of them are in prison now but thats not the point ?

I know I run the risk of being boring as f**k here and its a case of same old same old , but yesterday in north York’s , in the next town from me , a family went to the river and came home without their 12 year old son , who was found late last night . Another boy was airlifted to Leeds  hospital as well .

please please , accidents happen and a myriad of circumstances can occur , but do not let your child into the water without understanding the dangers and the necessary skills to be able to do something about it if it happens.

heartbreaking again and another family destroyed by the water in the sunshine

My kids all get swimming lessons, not jist to learn to swim but to learn to swim properly, an a bit of lifesaving skills, We visit the place your talking about a lot in summer, an I don’t let mine in water unless I’m in there with them, tragic accident, can only start to imagine what his parents must be goin through, it’s not uncommon tho to see a big squad a youngsters turn up themselves and be there all day with no supervision, there’s deffo a false sense a security at them falls, not overly deep, nice an clear an usually a load a folk about to help if anybody gets in trouble, but accidents can and do happen,  tragic

Aye , my daughters mates go there drinking and jumping in like all gangs of teenagers do , it’s a bad bit ain’t it . The only thing I’ve ever seen comfortable in there was my Labrador . I’ve seen a few dogs struggling there and been lucky to get out

I watched a staffy almost Drown there when my eldest was only little, I had to go in an help the dog in end, some old lady stood crying, said dog been in everyday of its life, but that was a bit further down behind swimming baths where there is a bit of a current, only time iv saw anybody get into difficulties at the falls is drunk folk slipping on the rocks, watched one mad bint a feW weeks ago fall like a sack a shite am never even tried saving herself, only her phone, broken collar bone but she was an adult, an pissed as a fart

the spot I don’t like is that big green bridge mate, saw a young teenage lassie jump Off that am shatter her leg an broke the other, that’s a dangerous spot an please tell your daughter to stay well clear of that Bridge, even my eldest at 18 knows he get my toe up his hole I catch him anywhere near it
