Snow moon

Apparently it was named by the red Indians as a way of marking the season, Snow moon,?  They mentioned it on the news earlier so I went out to have a look at it. Wow that moon was brilliant white.  I came in to round up the binoculars and go check it out.  I had three good pairs of binos to look through. a pair of 8x30 compacts.  A pair of 8x30 small/ med and a pair of 7x50 standard size.  All world class glass.  For the 7x50s I have two pairs of lens filters.  one pair orange and the other green.  Now in general daylight the 8x30s are the best but hands down it was the 7x50s without filters that were the best.  The orange filters were reasonably clear and made the image a sort of blood orange.  The greens were just dull. I found it an interesting experiment worth seeing.

Indigenous brethren now I would find that title a right insult.  I'd  much prefer to be called a  NATIVE SAVAGE.  It's got that sort of proud manace about it. Unless your built like a seven stone weakling in which case it would be inappropriate. But I  still wouldn't want to  be labelled INDIGENOUS  BRETHREN. !!!

Ps thats as bad as being called "Oi  Sambo". Personally I don't even consider anything like racial origin. It would be like someone saying that I was A VIKING .

Was going to take a picture of it but was cream crackered and lazy last night so just sat on top and admired it with a G and T a plain was flying across with a big trail and in the light looked like it was going to the moon would have been a cool pic

did not know the name but feck me it was bright.looked through an old mtc 5-20x50 scope and it was too bright too look at for long.crazy bright in the back garden could see everything .
