The clue is in the name ‘landowner’. If these things, introduced onto your property against your will, cause problems that threaten your livelihood, then you should be entitled to take action to mitigate.

I’m not against the introduction of beavers, but to think it could be done without ongoing measures to control impact is, at best, extremely naive. Cnuts like Packham don’t live in the real world.
